Step 2: Define Requirements

University Relations has a guidelines for drupal websites, which provide parameters of the work we do and pricing ranges, which you should consult in order to help determine scope of the project. Typically these jobs are done as a flat-fee.

If the project requires work outside the scope of our parameters, discuss with your supervisor to help put together the estimate.

  • Initiate estimates and send a final written estimate and schedule to client (see sample).
  • Confirm receipt of estimate, get client reaction, and adjust estimate and rough schedule if required.
  • Generate Memo of Agremenet when estimate is approved. Obtain client signature.
  • Obtain IPO, journal entry, or PO.
  • Determine which template will be used to develop the site. A guide to Drupal templates and themes can be found here [DOC].
  • Outline which features will be included.
  • Determine who will maintain the site once it has been launched.
  • Develop preliminary documents including a website architecture, flowchart, and wireframe as necessary.
  • Have preliminary documents and schedule approved by client.
