Art Department Overview

The Art Department within the University Relations Office of Creative Services provides the following services:

• Web and multimedia design services, including the maintenance of rutgers.edu, nb.rutgers.edu, and other key websites
• Design services to aid university units developing Drupal platform and other websites
• General design services for high-quality communications in print and electronic media, including brochures, advertisements, special event materials (Rutgers Day, University Commencement, etc.), banners, gonfalons, maps, recognition items, and much more
• A range of photographic services including maintenance of an extensive archive of high-quality stock images of scenes, people, and activities at Rutgers
• Guidance on photography projects
• Designs Rutgers Magazine, a general interest publication that promotes Rutgers through articles on campus culture, contemporary issues, and alumni, faculty, and student achievements
• Implements Rutgers Visual Identity System and strengthens the Rutgers identity by employing a consistent, coherent style for the Rutgers logotype, university seal, spirit mark, and tagline
